Rival Candidate Puts B al l in Joe Ford, Jr.’s Court

Memphis, TN – March 23, 2006 If the drama wasn't thick enough already, Tom Guleff (R) candidate for the 9th District has dropped the proverbial basketball onto Joe Ford Jr.’s (D) court.

"I’m not sure Joe can play street ball; but if he is going to live in Memphis , he needs to learn quickly. He won't have the experience to survive the all-comers Democratic melee otherwise,” says Tom Guleff.  We don't want him “to get put out" by some Cinderella in the Democratic primary. He's got to whip himself into debating shape quickly. Being from out of town has put him at a huge disadvantage. My team can't let him go down in defeat. We've invested too much in his campaign to allow an early round loss.” (see www.JoeFordJr.com)

"We're trying to give Joe, J.r an opportunity to get known in the community. We're offering Joe a little one-on-one on the topic of term limits. We don't care whether the event is on the Mike Fleming show, Rock 103, or another neutral venue; we have to discuss this very important topic,” says Tom Guleff.

Tom Guleff has given his position in advance and has personally pledged to a limit of 3 terms (6 years) for the 9th Congressional seat. Joe, Jr.  needs to find his voice on the issue, soon. “You can't go into the season, not knowing your strengths and weaknesses. The name on a back of a jersey won't help, if you can't get the ball up the court. And an away game in Memphis can be tough for Joe's LA team.”

"Joe if you are ready for the Term Limits debate, get dressed, you're in next. Please no street shoes on the court. We'll use my b al l and the go al in my backyard; it has just the right amount of give, when I c al l glass".  Go get'em tiger, I mean Joe !

As a running candidate Tom Guleff has come out hard against the status quo. For more about Tom Guleff, contact electtomguleff@aol.com or go to the website www.tomguleff.com
