Candidate worries over Joe Ford Jr's Whereabouts
Is he still at the L.A. Airport?
In the latest twist to the 9th district congressional race, Tom Guleff who offered a ride to L.A. lawyer Joe Ford, Jr. from the airport claims that "Folks are still waiting for Joe to show up . We have serious business in Memphis and we just can't wait around for Joe to come to town," says Tom.
With 10 million passengers per year coming in and out of the Memphis International Airport, we're now checking the bus station downtown and the train terminal, since he might have gotten lost. We are asking people if they see him, please have Joe Ford, Jr. contact us." The Checker Cab and Yellow Cab companies have been alerted to watch for any limo driver carrying a sign with "Ford" on it. This may just be a ploy to whisk Joe, Jr. over to Whitehaven and have him claim that he's "home."
"We are also really working hard in looking for a place for him to stay. With the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in town next week, he may have to room with Bill Frist or Lamar Alexander. We fear for his safety."
"If Joe Ford, Jr. is really serious about staying for a few days at a time, we are thinking about starting a shuttle service from the airport for him. We'll need to set-up a volunteer list, and may ask the community to donate a few household items. There's no need to purchase new furnishings for a home in Los Angeles, Memphis, and Washington, DC. He will be racking up a lot of mileage points with the airlines traveling from Los Angeles to Memphis on a regular basis so that may be the answer to incidental household needs and keeping his shaving kit up to date.
There's still word on the street that Joe, Jr. has not left Los Angeles yet. With the Academy Awards coming up, it's a hard town to leave this time of year. And Joe being an entertainment lawyer probably has some clients who may need his services after the show.
The 9th District of Tennessee has different issues than Los Angeles. Joe Jr. probably knows the issues and concerns of the people in Los Angeles. He probably knows his way around the L.A. airport. But he hasn't made it out to Airways Blvd. yet.
The 9th District is in a state of siege over corruption and issues that surround service, fairness, jobs, crime and education. Check out Tom Guleff's website at www.tomguleff.com you'll see why people are getting interested in politics again. You can contact Tom Guleff at 901-246-5123, or e-mail tomguleff@aol.com. The 9th District deserves to reclaim its right to fair representation
