Can Lobbyist Jake accept the challenge?

Voters need to know

Memphis , TN -- June 22, 2006 -- Tom Guleff , Republican candidate for the 9th District, challenges Independent Jake Ford to declare his position on campaign contributions. Independent Jake, brother of Harold Ford, Jr. needs to give the voters answers. There's a real potential that in November, Jake will keep the family seat that they’ve held for 32 years. As a former lobbyist, Jake Ford re al ly needs to be sensitive and come forward with his intentions. It's only fitting that the voter understands the flow of money to his campaign.

Our campaign has been very upfront and straightforward. We should expect the same from Jake Ford. There should be no coming out party on 4 August for our lobbyist friend. Release the information to the voters now. That's the least a candidate can do in a district riddled with Tennessee Waltz convictions and indictments.
