Harold Ford Jr. has Dirty Hands

Money grabbing evades soap scrub

Memphis , TN -- April 20, 2006 -- Tom Guleff , Republican candidate for the 9th Congression al seat, has completed a review of the financi al reports from Harold Ford Jr.'s most recent elections. "For an elected offici al to behave this way is disgraceful and obscene. No one needs to grab this much money and it is shameful,” states Tom.

"This activity is clearly indefensible. In the last 32 years there has never been one candidate to come close to the 9th District seat, not one. Today, this raises tough questions on what this politic al office is being used for. This type of activity goes unseen and appears to be hidden from public view. Once it is brought out in the light of day, people re al ize how bad it is,” says candidate Tom Guleff .

In the last three election cycles, Mr. Harold Ford, Jr. raised $3.6 million* to run against no one. This is a money grab. Where did this money go? It is un-American and deplorable to be engaged in this type of behavior when there are so many people hurting in our community. Even $3.6 million dollars worth of soap can’t wash this scum off.

An obvious question to al l this influence peddling and lobbying that goes on in Washington DC and away from Memphis is: Who taught Harold Jr. these tricks?  Who convinced him that it was the right thing to do? Was it his campaign manager? Was it an advisor telling him that it was ok? One has to wonder what lessons Jake Ford learned from his brother's last three campaigns.

We need a change in Washington that will benefit Memphis , not benefit the Fords. Tom Guleff has been running hard and fast against the status quo.  For more information, go to the website www.tomguleff.com
