Memphis , TN – May 11, 2006 - Tom Guleff , Republican candidate for the 9th Congression al district, believes that Jake and Joe Ford Jr are running their campaigns on the fumes of the Ford dynasty. "Neither of these two candidates have a clue on articulating a vision for Memphis . They are pushing the same style campaign just where the old timers left off,” says Tom.

The Ford name is a powerful weapon in a Congression al election for the 9th District. This is evident when Harold Ford, Jr. raised $1.9 million for his last election cycle against no opponent. "I am sure both Joe and Jake Ford will try to capit al ize on these same donor relationships”, states Tom.

Tom Guleff ’s campaign is a hybrid one. It has taken a bold and fresh approach to this race by 1) Pledging to term limits and 2) Releasing the candidate from the corrupting influence of campaign donations.
