Ford
Boot Camp
An
army of two or three
Memphis, TN
– May 13, 2006 -- Tom
Guleff
, Republican candidate for the 9th Congression
al
District, is off
erin
g to take both Joe and Jake Ford to the U. S. Army Recruiter Station. “They
al
ways need a few good men. But, I am not sure these guys qu
al
ify. We'll have to contact the recruiter to find out. Plus, we're not t
al
king about a Celebrity Boot Camp for these two, we're t
al
king about the re
al
de
al
,” says Tom.
The Ford’s need a
little taste of military life before thinking about running for the U.S.
Congress. We have too many folks in Congress who have never served in uniform.
Our nation
al
security issues should not be left to someone who's riding on name recognition
or the coat tails of a brother. Our soldiers, marines, sailors, and airmen
deserve better.
Joe Ford, Jr. and
Jake Ford won't have to survive the elite U.S. Army Ranger School. No need for
them to jump out of perfectly good airplanes, rappel
down a rope from a Blackhawk helicopter, or live in the jungle. That's too
dangerous for these candidates. A short stint in the Armed Forces will make
these young recruits think twice before they cast an eye toward
Washington
DC
.
Buck up soldiers,
we're moving out. Pvt. Harold Ford, Jr. can come for the ride, too. We’ll save
gas and do it all in one trip.
