It’s not about money

Let’s keep them honest

Memphis, TN -- April 7, 2006 -- Tom Guleff, Republican candidate for the 9th Congressional seat breaks from the pack, and stands up and states, "Don't give money to anyone running for the District 9, US Congressional position. Not one penny. This city has seen enough corruption this year to last a lifetime. We don't need more of the same.”  

  We want to encourage all businesses, unions, PACs, lobbyists, and citizens to keep their money away from all candidates. It has a corrupting effect. “I encourage all candidates who have received any of these funds to return them immediately or give them to a reputable charity like St Jude Children's Cancer Research Hospital.” says Tom.  

  If a congressional candidate comes begging for money, ask them why. We congressional candidates don't deserve your money, no matter how tempting it is. If you are compelled to give, give to a charity of your choosing. But, make candidates accountable to your vote.

   Make us work for your vote. Make us earn your vote. “I know this will be tough for many of the other candidates, but this is how we started our campaign from day one, says Tom Guleff. This was the only way we were going to run for this special seat; without voters hard-earned dollars.”
