Candidate's Recipe : Let the Pork Cool for 72 Hours

Memphis , TN – March 30, 2006 - In support of a series of Anti-Corruption Measures, Republican Candidate for District 9 Tom Guleff declares his recipe for cleaning up some of the bad stew in Washington , DC .

He suggests, “Post all bills before Congress on the internet 72 hours before they vote. It is a very simple idea and might be the most effective way we can curb this free wheeling spending that's going on in Congress today."

Using a very simple Southern tradition of reading the recipe before putting the BBQ in the oven, Tom Guleff suggests letting the American people read the bills before Congress votes on them. Posting the entire text of the bills, including every pork project and special-interest provision, on the internet for all to see, for at least 72 hours before the vote, may force members of Congress to think twice before wasting taxpayer dollars.

In this 21st century, we have the technology to make sure that these dealings are transparent to citizens. This common sense approach brings the backroom kitchen deals to the light of day. Term Limits and Bill Public Airing are just a start of how Tom plans to start rooting out the corruption that hurts our country.

As a running candidate Tom Guleff has come out hard against the status quo. Catch the excitement of Tom's campaign at www.tomguleff.com. Or you can contact Tom at electtomguleff@aol.com Every e-mail will be answered.
