Candidate declares the #1 Priority is the Needs of the People

Talk Radio Show hears it first

Memphis , TN March 29, 2006 - Tom Guleff , Republican candidate for the 9th District, outlined his number one priority as a Congressman, on the t al k radio show hosted by Jennings Bernard. "It is simple. My first and only job is to take care of the people of District 9. I can't screw it up, because I have to come back to Memphis and live,” says Tom.

“My business career has been focused on the most important assets of any enterprise, its people. This has included everyone from secretary to dock worker. As with the military, the soldiers needs come first with regard to keeping the fighting force effective in accomplishing its mission."

Memphis has many people who are hurting, especi al ly the elderly. If someone needs help getting their soci al security check, or with their veteran benefits, or simply want to voice their concerns, they will be able to contact our Memphis office or our Washington DC office. If a senior citizen can't make the c al l, their son or daughter can contact our office. That's the type of service you can expect from my staff and I. Everybody will serve the people. I will not tolerate less from anyone on my team. This I have al ways done. I know of no higher priority for a Congressman than to listen and focus on the needs of the people. “We will not be outperformed in this area by any congression al office staff,” Tom pledges.

“I am dedicated to this community. I have to do well, because there's nowhere for me to hide. This is my hometown. It is the place where my only child was born. It is the town that gave me an appointment to West Point . It is where I played little league baseb al l. It is where I was a cub scout and a boy scout. It is where I am running for Congress.  I have no option but to do the right thing. No question, trust has to be earned from the voters. I have never taken this trust lightly in war or in peace. It is the bond that cannot be taken for granted,” states Tom.

Tom is not afraid to tackle the hard issues that face the 9th District.
